Rookie Sbk set to release his single ‘Minute’

Singer, songwriter Rookie Sbk is set to release his new single “Minute” on 03/11/23 from his upcoming EP “Room 82”. Following the success of “Keeps” with STRAFFITTI, he plans to introduce more listeners to his own slice of Afrobeats.

“Minute” is a blend of contemporary R&B/Soul and Afrobeats. The track draws heavily from the guitar-heavy sound of the late 90’s to early 2000’s R&B but stays grounded in African rhythms and references in its lyricism.

This release comes after the success of “Sullen” with STRAFFITTI off their collaborative project. Every song on the compilation provided a glimpse into his versatility as a vocalist and writer.

With “Minute,” “Sbk” takes the needle much further, pairing his lush vocals with syncopated drums that sound straight out of a dream sequence.
