Rolex is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Oyster case (introduced in 1926 as the world’s first waterproof wristwatch) primarily through a refreshed Oyster Perpetual collection unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2026. Instead of a single commemorative piece or historical re-edition, Rolex has introduced subtle yet meaningful updates.
The standout “hero” model is the Oyster Perpetual 41 in a special yellow Rolesor configuration (Ref. 134303). It pairs an Oystersteel case and full Oystersteel bracelet with an 18 ct yellow gold bezel and crown — a restrained twist that evokes early Oyster designs while keeping the emphasis on the steel case. The slate grey sunray dial features:

Other models in the anniversary collection:
Oyster Perpetual 36 (Oystersteel case and bracelet) — Features a vibrant multicolored lacquer “Jubilee” motif dial. The letters spelling “ROLEX” appear in a patchwork of at least ten contrasting colors via pad printing, revisiting and amplifying a late-1970s design theme for a bold, celebratory pop-art feel. Powered by Calibre 3230.

Oyster Perpetual 28 (full 18 ct yellow gold case and bracelet with satin finish) — Deep green lacquer dial with natural stone (heliotrope) hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. This marks the first use of a satin finish on a full precious-metal Rolex model. Powered by Calibre 2232 (55-hour power reserve, Syloxi hairspring)

Oyster Perpetual 34 (full Everose gold case and bracelet with satin finish) — Blue stone lacquer dial with natural stone (dumortierite) hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Also features a new satin precious-metal treatment. Powered by Calibre 2232.

The collection emphasizes evolution over nostalgia: the Oyster case remains the foundation of Rolex’s waterproof, durable watches, now with refined proportions, materials, and certification standards.
