Filmmaker and photographer Gabriel Moses has taken to Instagram to tease what appears to be an official collaboration with Corteiz, and the early preview has everyone paying close attention.
The centrepiece of the drop appears to be a hooded windbreaker. The graphic at the heart of the piece draws direct inspiration from classic film iconography, specifically the Columbia Pictures Torch Lady, one of the most recognisable introductions in cinema history. In the Corteiz x Moses reimagining, the traditional figure is replaced by a Black woman holding the torch.
This imagery is a consistent visual throughout Moses’ body of work, and for those who’ve followed Moses’ work closely, the centrepiece graphic feels familiar.
The visual motif was first seen in the music video for Travis Scott’s 4X4, released on January 24, 2025, which was directed by Moses and filmed in Scott’s hometown of Houston, Texas. The video opened with a Columbia Pictures film intro spoof, with Columbia replaced by Scott’s Cactus brand, while a reimagined Torch Lady appeared front and centre.

What Corteiz is doing here is tapping directly into that established visual universe, translating it from screen to garment. We can’t wait to see what else this duo cooks up in the upcoming collection, as these are two prominent figures in global art and design.
Stay tuned for more updates on the release.
