WaveBoy and emerging Afro-fusion artist Jody are joining forces to release “Lisa,” a captivating  love song that explores the intoxicating feeling of instant connection and romantic chemistry. 

Produced by David Acekeys with additional production from D-tac, “Lisa” tells the story of an  undeniable attraction, that moment when eyes meet across a room, and everything else fades  away. With smooth melodies, infectious rhythms, and Jody’s signature vocal delivery, the track  captures the passion and playfulness of new romance. 

“Lisa is about that experience we’ve all had, when you see someone and you just click  instantly,” Jody explains. “The whole vibe was so natural. I was in the studio having fun, doing  my adlibs, and my friends were there just cracking up at some of the things I was saying. They  were enjoying it even more than me! I want people to feel that same energy when they hear it,  that ‘run it back’ feeling. It’s good vibes, something for the ladies to whine to on the dance  floor, something that just makes you feel good.” 

The production, anchored by David Acekeys and elevated with string elements from D-tac,  creates a lush sonic backdrop that sits comfortably alongside the current wave of Afrobeats and  Afro-fusion sounds coming out of Nigeria. Fans of artists like Ruger and Maleek Berry will find  familiar territory here, but BaddmanJODY brings his own flavor, a blend of romance, rhythm,  and authenticity that feels both fresh and timeless. 

Jody (known online as BaddmanJody) first gained recognition in 2021 when The Native Mag  named him a best new artist to watch. Now operating independently under WaveBoy  Entertainment, he returns with a refined sound and renewed creative vision. “Lisa” represents  the first major collaboration between WaveBoy and Jody, a partnership built on creative  freedom, authentic expression, and a shared vision for the future of Afrobeats.
