Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been formally charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by British prosecutors, according to a statement released by the Crown Prosecution Service. The charges stem from allegations made by three women relating to incidents that occurred between 2021 and 2022.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, 2025. The Metropolitan Police, in collaboration with the Crown Prosecution Service, has been investigating the matter for over two years.
Partey, who left Arsenal at the end of June when his contract expired, has denied all allegations. His legal team stated that he has “fully cooperated with the authorities” throughout the lengthy investigation.
