Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems has unveiled The Leading Vibe Initiative, a groundbreaking new program aimed at supporting and uplifting young Nigerian women in music. The initiative is designed to create space for emerging singers, songwriters, producers, engineers, and other behind-the-scenes talents in a male-dominated industry.

“There are thousands of young women just like me—with a voice, a gift, and a desire to be heard,” Tems said. “I want to be someone that shows people that there is hope.”

The initiative kicks off in August with a two-day hands-on training program, offering selected participants access to world-class tools, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with key players in the global music ecosystem.

“While the music industry is great, there hasn’t always been a space for women—women creators, women producers, women engineers, women writers,” she added. “That is why I’m starting The Leading Vibe Initiative.”
