Tekno Announces Third Studio Album Where Did Love Go?, Due June 2026

Three years after The More The Better, Tekno is back with his third studio album. Where Did Love Go? is set for release in June 2026, distributed by emPawa Africa, and arrives as one of Afropop’s most enduring voices returns to the centre of the conversation.

The announcement comes alongside two new singles, Bamboo and Press Button  , offering the first real look at the album. Bamboo, self-produced by Tekno, opens with a smooth, groove-led Afropop ease that immediately feels familiar. Press Button, produced by Yung Willis, shifts the temperature with a dancehall-inflected bounce built for movement. Together, they map the scope of a project that blends Afrobeats, Afro-Pop, and dancehall into something cohesive and emotionally grounded.

Across a 13-year career, Tekno has made great records, Duro, Pana, Skeletun, that catalogued an era of African pop. His production fingerprints are equally far-reaching, shaping defining moments such as Davido’s If and Kizz Daniel’s Buga. Where Did Love Go? signals a return, one rooted in the melodic ease and romance that have always been his signature.

Where Did Love Go? arrives June 2026. Bamboo and Press Button are out now on all streaming platforms.
