Soundz: Crafting Musical Magic with ‘At Your Service’

One aspect I truly admire about the artist’s moniker, Soundz, is how it subtly promises the bearer’s voice as something extraordinary; and indeed, Soundz’s voice is nothing short of remarkable. Symphonious, soothing, and electrifying all at once, it embodies the very essence of pleasantness.

Many of us were introduced to Soundz in 2022 when he unveiled his debut musical project, ‘In The Rough.’ This was especially due to his standout hit, ‘Attention,’ which initially gained fame on TikTok and swiftly climbed various music charts soon after, eventually securing the fifth spot on the ‘Turntable Nigeria Top Afro-pop Songs’ chart in October of the same year. The project featured five other remarkable tracks as well: ‘Pressure,’ ‘Faraway,’ ‘Personal,’ ‘Goner,’ and ‘Buga,’ each a beautiful musical piece showcasing his undeniable talent.

Interestingly, Soundz’s musical journey commenced in 2020, two years prior to the project’s release, with his debut single ‘Darasimi,’ named after himself. This track quickly became a sensation across various social media platforms, setting the stage for his recognition. Subsequently, his second track, ‘Cinderella,’ expanded his reach, establishing him further as a music artist in his own right.

It was these initial moves that almost certainly set the pace for the success of ‘In The Rough.’

While 2023 saw fewer releases from Soundz, he graced us with a beautiful gem in the form of ‘Fever,’ featuring Fave. Additionally, he contributed to various musical projects, including Rexxie’s ‘Whine.’

Breaking the silence this weekend, Soundz gifted us with a fresh new track titled ‘At Your Service.’ and if there’s one thing that the song proves, it’s that his declaration of being “fiidigyaldem,” is very authentic. The beat resonates with a solid Afro vibe and a critique, expecting to hear underwhelming sounds and melodies, would be sorely disappointed. The track, a classic romance where he declares wholesome affection for his love interest, is nothing short of love-worthy.
