At this year’s Africa Fashion Week London, Nigerian designer Ifeanyi Nwune of I.N. Official unveiled Transcendence, the world’s first AI-powered fashion collection, in partnership with Meta AI. The showcase marked a historic fusion of creativity and technology.
The Fall/Winter 2025 collection was developed using Meta AI’s Search and Imagine tools, which guided the design process from mood boards and fabric selection to storytelling and silhouettes. AI-generated prompts inspired bold cultural fusions, such as reimagining the African Agbada through the lens of Japanese Hakama silhouettes, resulting in futuristic yet rooted designs.

For Nwune, the collaboration highlighted the power of AI as more than just a digital tool but a creative collaborator. Meta AI surfaced ideas for patterns, accessories, and textures, which his team refined into finished garments. The result was a collection that celebrated African artistry while pushing the boundaries of what technology can contribute to fashion.
The closing show, held at London’s Space House, drew influencers, fashion insiders, and cultural tastemakers who responded with a standing ovation, acknowledging both the beauty of the designs and the groundbreaking process behind them.
Transcendence represents more than a collection; it signals a new era of tech-driven African creativity. By merging tradition with innovation, Nwune and Meta AI have set the stage for a future where AI amplifies cultural storytelling and expands what is possible in fashion.
