Liz Sanya and Slawn Are Joining Forces to Inspire a New Wave of Dreamers

GWR holder Liz Sanya and artist Slawn are teaming up on a new project for creative minds in Nigeria. Their upcoming collaboration will spotlight the Sanya clog, a design that has become Sanya’s trademark after she made history with the world’s largest sandal. This time, the clog will be reimagined by Slawn, blending product design with art in an ingenious way.

But the project is about more than the shoe itself. Alongside the collaboration, Sanya and Slawn are independently launching a fund for kids and young creatives in Nigeria.

“There are no sponsors involved at the moment, it’s just between us,” Sanya says. The fund will also not be restricted to one niche such as fashion or art. Instead, it will focus on passionate creators who believe in themselves, a vision rooted in Sanya’s own experience of self-funding her world record attempt. Importantly, the fund will be activated every year, ensuring that support for young Nigerian talent is consistent and ongoing.

For Sanya and Slawn, this is less about a single project and more about building opportunities for young, vibrant, independent, and passionate Nigerian dreamers, just like themselves.
