As the curtains closed on another thrilling European league season, African players again left their mark. From record-setting goals to season-defining contributions, these standouts lit up the final weekend of action.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth – Ghana)


Antoine Semenyo wrapped up an impressive Premier League season in style, scoring both goals in Bournemouth’s 2–0 win over relegated Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium. The Ghanaian forward took his league tally to 11 goals, a personal best, capping off what has undoubtedly been a brilliant campaign. With multiple clubs circling, his stock has never been higher, but whatever happens next, this season was a triumph for Semenyo.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford – Cameroon)


Bryan Mbeumo reached a major milestone, scoring his 20th league goal in Brentford’s 1–1 draw with Wolves. The Cameroonian’s overall contribution of 27 goal involvements (20 goals, 7 assists) places him behind only Mo Salah and Alexander Isak in the Premier League this season. If this was his Brentford swan song, Mbeumo certainly left on a high. The Bees have plenty to be proud of.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool – Egypt)


Mohamed Salah’s season needs no exaggeration — the numbers speak volumes. Premier League Player of the Season. Football Writers’ Player of the Season. Golden Boot winner. Playmaker Award winner. He rounded off his all-timer campaign with a goal against Crystal Palace, bringing his season totals to 29 goals and 18 assists — a joint league record. A season for the ages from one of the greatest to ever do it.

Amad Diallo (Manchester United – Ivory Coast)


After a painful Europa League loss to Spurs, Manchester United needed a lift, and Amad Diallo delivered. In the season finale against Aston Villa, the Ivorian rose to head in a pinpoint Bruno Fernandes cross and later won a penalty in United’s 2–0 win. With 8 goals and 6 assists in 26 appearances, Amad has grown into his role and shown he can be a real asset moving forward.
