It’s another week of the Game Changers of the Week series, spotlighting African players doing bits in Europe’s major leagues. From goals to solid attacking and defensive performances, we’ve got you covered on the continent’s finest.
Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) – Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen reminded everyone why he’s one of the world’s deadliest strikers with a dramatic brace that gave Galatasaray all three points against Samsunspor.
The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 29th minute, finishing clinically after a well-placed through ball from Leroy Sané. Samsunspor fought back to level at 2-2 in the 88th minute, and it looked like the points would be shared, until Osimhen had other plans.
Deep into stoppage time, the 26-year-old produced the goal of the night: a spectacular bicycle kick inside the box that flew into the top corner, sealing a 3-2 victory for the defending champions.
The brace took Osimhen’s season tally to 11 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions, six in the Champions League and five in the Super Lig. It was his first goals since Nigeria’s failed World Cup qualifiers, and more importantly, it kept Galatasaray top of the table with 36 points from 15 games, four points clear of second-placed Fenerbahçe.
Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria) –Brighton

The 2025 CAF Goalkeeper of the Year continued her stellar first season in the Women’s Super League with another commanding performance.
Nnadozie made five crucial saves to preserve Brighton’s 1-0 away victory over London City Lionesses on Sunday. The Super Falcons’ shot-stopper was a wall between the posts, denying every attempt that came her way and securing her third clean sheet of the season.
Her performance comes just days after she won the WSL Save of the Month award for November. The recognition was for her breathtaking, acrobatic stop against Liverpool, where she tipped Fuka Nagano’s long-range effort onto the crossbar in a 1-1 draw.
Since joining Brighton from Paris FC in the summer, Nnadozie has quickly established herself as one of the league’s most reliable performers. Despite Brighton conceding 10 goals this season, her 78.7% save percentage ranks second in the WSL, trailing only Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton.
Brighton now sit 7th in the table on 11 points, and Nnadozie’s consistency has been central to their solid start. At just 24 years old, the Nigerian international continues to enhance her reputation as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers.
Mohammed Kudus (Ghana) – Tottenham

Mohammed Kudus delivered a good performance as Tottenham snapped their winless Premier League run with a composed 2-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday.
The Black Stars attacker was exceptional, dominating almost every statistical category. According to Squawka, no Tottenham player won more duels (9), made more ball recoveries (8), completed more take-ons (5), or created more chances (2) than Kudus. He also posted a 92% pass accuracy (34/37), won eight ground duels, and drew two fouls.
While Richarlison and Xavi Simons grabbed the headlines with goals, Kudus was the engine that made Tottenham tick. He even had a goal ruled out for offside late in the match, narrowly missing what would have been a deserved reward for his performance.
Anthony Dennis (Nigeria) – Göztepe

Anthony Dennis grabbed Göztepe’s only goal in their 2–1 home defeat to Trabzonspor, scoring an 85th-minute strike that briefly threatened a late comeback. It was the 21-year-old midfielder’s third league goal of the season and one of Göztepe’s few bright moments in a match dominated by the visitors.
Dennis, who has become a regular starter since breaking into the first team, showed sharp timing to get into the box and finish calmly, capping another energetic performance. Despite the loss, the midfielder continues to grow in confidence and importance for his side.
That’s it for this week’s Game Changers. See you next week.
