Billboard’s Women in Music is back, and this year’s event is shaping up to be one of its most powerful yet. The ceremony will honor some of the most influential women in the music industry, from rising stars to legendary icons.
Among this year’s special award recipients are; Erykah Badu who will receive the Icon Award, GloRilla who will be honored with the Powerhouse Award, Muni Long who will receive the Rising Star Award, and Tyla who will take home the Impact Award.
The honorees also include aespa, Angela Aguilar, Gracie Abrams, Jennie, Megan Moroney, and Meghan Trainor, all of whom have made remarkable contributions to music.
“From rising stars to legendary icons, this year’s honorees are redefining what it means to be a trailblazer in the industry,” said Billboard’s editor-in-chief, Hannah Karp. “It’s a privilege to continue Billboard’s tradition of recognizing the women who are pushing the boundaries of music and culture, and we can’t wait to share this incredible night with our global audience.”
The event, hosted by Laverne Cox, will take place on March 29 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
