Europe-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer Justina Lee Brown has released her sixth studio album, ‘Echoes of Home’ – a bold and reflective homage to the sound and culture that shaped her artistic origins.

A dynamic force who has performed on thousands of stages across Europe for more than two decades, Justina has long established herself as one of the continent’s most electrifying African singer, songwriter and performer. The three-time Swiss Blues Award nominee made history in 2024 as the first African to win the Swiss Blues Award with her acclaimed album ‘Lost Child,’ and she earned another win in 2025 for Best Songwriter.
With a career built on Funk, Soul, Blues and Jazz, Justina takes a moment to look back and honour her Nigerian identity with an album that expresses longing, memory and cultural reconnection. Echoes of Home channels her Africanness into a lush, introspective and mature 14-track body of work deeply rooted in the sounds she grew up with.
Drawing inspiration from African heavyweights like Fela Kuti, Lagbaja, Osita Osadebe, and Miriam
Makeba, the album blends elements of Nigerian Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, Folk, Highlife, Cuban Salsa and South Africa’s Kwela while retaining touches of her soulful signature. The project produced by herself, David Stauffacher, Paul Cleverlee and Tudaxkey, also featured a guest appearance from British Afro-fusion star Moelogo.
A follow-up to her Billiki EP, Echoes of Home offers a fresh yet authentic direction for Justina. It pairs rich percussion, warm horns and layered African rhythms with introspective storytelling that explores identity and homecoming. The album marks a confident return to her roots and reinforces her status as one of Africa’s most compelling and globally relevant voices.
