Jomapel Yankee is Turning up the Heat with his New Single ‘Hotter Than (Eternity)’

Known for mixing Caribbean swagger with West African grooves, the Sierra Leonean artist is back and hotter. His new single, Hotter Than Eternity, lands May 23—and it’s a bold, body-moving ode to confidence, desire, and the kind of woman who walks in and makes the whole room pause.

Jomapel’s evolution has been a slow burn—shaped by time, travel, and an ever-growing love for sound. He began as a rapper, sharpening his pen and delivery between 2009 and 2012, before stepping into the spotlight. In 2014, a move to South Africa opened new creative doors, leading to collaborations with local DJs and producers in the Afro-house scene. By 2018, his focus had shifted again—this time to Afrobeats, where he found his voice working with producers from across Africa. The result? A rich catalogue of music that blends pulse, presence, and personal history. “It’s been a long time coming,” he says.

Produced by Lagos-based Jhay2unez (whose credits include Seyi Vibez, Lil Kesh, and Yung Jonn), Hotter Than Eternity pulses with Afro-pop heat. But at its core, it’s a tribute. “She’s the hottest woman in the building. She knows it. And I want every woman who hears this to feel like she’s that woman,” Jomapel says.

Though he usually freestyles his way into songs, this one came together over two days. It’s sleek, sexy, and empowering—an anthem for anyone who’s ever second-guessed themselves in front of a mirror. “If you’re feeling low or insecure, this song is for you. It’s meant to pull you out of that,” he says.

Jomapel might prefer the rush of live performance to the stillness of a studio, but this track brings both energy and intention. It’s the kind of song that loops easily, lingers, and leaves you feeling taller than before.Stream Here: https://symphony.to/jomapel-yankee/eternity
