Tolu Coker Is an LVMH Prize Finalist

British-Nigerian fashion designer Tolu Coker, based in London, is one of the industry’s top 1%, having been selected as a finalist for the LVMH Prize—Previously won by icons like Virgil Abloh, and JW Anderson, the LVMH Prize now counts Coker among its finalists. A Central Saint Martins graduate (Class of 2017), she has worked with renowned fashion houses, including Maison Margeila and Celine.

Centred around inclusivity and giving social outsiders a space within the community, my brand was created as a response to shifting cultures, identities and social landscapes, particularly Diaspora identity and the increasing fluidity of gender.

Tolu Coker shared in an interview with the London College of Fashion. This ethos sets her brand apart, making it a favorite among celebrities like Rihanna, Rita Ora, Ariana Grande, and more recently, Doechii.

Among the other finalists in the top eight alongside Tolu Coker were Alain Paul, All-In; founded by Ran Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, Francesco Murano—whose designs have been worn by Beyoncé, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Anok Yai, and Katy Perry, Soshiotsuki, Steve O Smith, Torishéju and Zomer.
